Basics
The Melter is a necessary component of this kit. You CANNOT make Pressed Effects Cosmetics without a melter (I have tried mini-crockpots, stovetop, double-boiler and they do not work).
YOU MUST SIGN AND RETURN A NON-DISCLOSE AGREEMENT BEFORE YOU WILL RECEIVE THE FORMULATION FOR THESE PRODUCTS; THIS AGREEMENT WILL LICENSE YOU (OR YOUR COMPANY) TO PRODUCE AND SELL THE PRESSED EFFECTS COSMETICS LINE AND TO USE THE NAME FOR THE PERIOD OF 24 MONTHS; AT WHICH TIME A NEW AGREEMENT WILL NEED TO BE RE-SIGNED.
The treatment used in this formulation is the most lipophilic of any treatment. This characteristic gives the pigments excellent affinity to the skin. When the makeup is applied to the skin, it is easier to blend and provides a more natural look. It seems to become one with the skin. The affinity of this treatment to the skin also improves its adhesion and contributes to longer wear. Since the treatment is also hydrophobic, it will further help long wearing properties.
For those of you wanting a mildly technical explanation of the treatment...this treatment (Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate or ITT) is a chemical reaction; ITT easily reacts with almost all pigments and forms a uniform coating of lipophilic isostearate groups through O-Ti bonds, which is formed by the reaction of -OH group on the surface of pigments and isopropoxy group of ITT.
